Presentation“Charm City Circulator Transit Development Plan”

Synopsis: BCDOT has developed a draft route improvements that will be part of the Transit Development Plan for the Charm City Circulator. This plan was developed using a data- and equity- focused approach to assess the current routes and determine where improvements can be made within the operational service area. These routes haven’t meaningfully changed since the circulator service started in 2010 despite significant changes in development patterns. The proposed changes make meaningful connections from where people live to shopping and employment centers and other priority destinations including grocery stores and hospitals. The routes prioritize the neighborhoods with the highest percentage of households who don’t have cars and close gaps in places where MTA buses don’t offer service.
