On April 5, 2018, the Transit Choices BaltimoreLink Committee was invited to tour the MTA Operations Control Center (OCC) located in Baltimore, Maryland. Following the tour, there was a discussion led by Kevin B. Quinn, Jr., (Administrator MDOT MTA) and Joseph Davis, (Director OCC).

The OCC oversees the bus, metro and light rail service to ensure effective utilization of these services, and initiates appropriate action to correct service problems, when and where necessary.

Committee members were given unprecedented access to the OCC, which provided a unique opportunity to observe firsthand the important work being done to ensure safe, reliable and efficient public transit.
