Mayoral Candidates Forum: “Leadership for Improving Transportation”
On February 25, 2016, Transit Choices, Citizens Planning & Housing Association, 1000 Friends of Maryland and the Central Maryland Transportation Alliance hosted a Mayoral Candidates Forum: “Leadership for Improving Transportation”. The event was held from 6:30 PM -8:30 PM at The Real News Network, 231 N. Holliday Street – Baltimore, MD 21202. Marc Steiner (Executive Producer/Host Marc Steiner Show, WEAA), served as moderator.
Events of the past year have made it clear that transportation is critical to improving life for Baltimore City residents and that the City needs leaders to develop and implement strategies for improving it. The comments and ideas shared by the following participating Mayoral Candidates were a step in the right direction:
Sheila Dixon
Elizabeth Embry
Patrick Gutierrez
Nick Mosby
Catherine Pugh
Carl Stokes
Alan Walden
David Warnock
Each Candidate was asked to complete a transit questionnaire, prior to the event. The questionnaire responses can be viewed here: Mayoral Candidate Bios and Questionnaires_Compiled. We have also included responses from the following Mayoral Candidates who were unable to participate in the Forum:
Joshua Harris
DeRay Mckesson
Cindy Walsh
Calvin Young
